Rehl Gardens is one of MetroWest Boston’s leading Horticultural Services and Fine Gardening companies offering design, installation and maintenance of fine gardens as well as providing spectacular planters. We are searching for a student in horticulture, floriculture, landscape architecture, or a related field with a passion for horticulture to join us for the summer. Rehl Gardens offers a hands-on opportunity to expand one’s skills and get a practical experience in the field.

Our staff is technically trained and focused on horticulture. The business’s activities focus on garden and planter design and maintenance, rather than ‘landscape’ focused activities such as mowing and leaf removal. Rehl Gardens works primarily with residential gardens and landscapes. Throughout the season the intern would have a chance to be part of design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting on a variety of properties.

The intern will work with a supervisor and other members of a gardening team. They are expected to provide their own transportation to and from job sites. The work will range from 35-40 hours a week; the pay is hourly. The work will be in the field the majority of the time, but there will be opportunities for design, education, or office work on days which are too inclement to work outside. In addition we will provide reimbursement for continuing education courses and seminars in the Boston area and ensure that the information received is followed up in the field.
