We are excited to announce that the student farm on campus, Dilmun Hill, is hiring student managers for the 2021 growing season! Anyone who is an undergraduate student enrolled at Cornell can apply – no experience necessary! This is a learning position, with the expectation that you will come out of it with an in-depth understanding of growing food while improving your leadership and team-working skills and enjoying the best produce all summer long.
The farm manager position is a long-term commitment, beginning in the spring (April), and continuing throughout the summer and fall (until November). In the spring, you will be paid to work 5 hours/week, in the summer, 35 hours/week, and 10 hours/week in the fall. Pay is $12.50/hour, and federal work study students are highly encouraged to apply!
Student managers at Dilmun are usually responsible for hosting summer and fall CSAs. During these unprecedented times Dilmun Hill has adapted its operations to meet the needs of the community and to ensure the safety of its student workers. The 2021 season’s managers can expect to devote their time to growing produce for donation.
Please fill out this application and don’t hesitate to reach out with questions to Betsy Leonard at bai1@cornell.edu.
Applications accepted until 5:00 pm, Friday March 26th
Following the application, we will be hosting interviews to meet everyone and make our decisions.
You can check out our website, facebook, and instagram for more information and to see the fun things we get up to.
Looking forward to the 2021 season!
